TWO CASTLES TRAIL

On the way back from Jimena we  get to the "Americans Road", a dirt road where we can speed up our riding.

The trail starts under the ancient pine trees in "Finca la Alcaidesa". We ride cross - country until we reach the 12th century medieval fortress of Castellar de la Frontera.

 we enter the castle by means of the old Roman road. Within the walls,  a charming white Andalusian village and incredible views of Gibraltar area. On a sunny day  you will see Africa!

Tonight we´ll sleep in the castle, and enjoy a wonderful "tapas" dinner at Stevi´s.

Two magical places!

Turning north we start to follow the river up the narrowing fertile valley. We´ll stop for lunch in a typical Andalusian Venta.

We arrive Jimena. Occupied since Prehistory it was fortified with the Muslim invasion. Overnight & dinner in "Casa Henrietta" or "Anon"
